2nd December - 4th December (3 days/2 nights)
Treat yourself to a festive getaway this Winter. We have planned a wonderful mini break full of Christmas cheer. Have a look at our itinerary below:
Day 1 (2nd December):
The coach will firstly take us to the Winchester Christmas market for a few hours. Step into a winter wonderland at the Winchester Christmas Market, one of the most enchanting Christmas markets in the UK. Nestled in the historic Winchester Cathedral grounds, this festive extravaganza promises a magical experience for visitors of all ages. You will find handcrafted gifts, delicious festive treats, music and festive lighting! We will then hop back on the coach and arrive at our hotel in Salisbury in time a couple of hours of down time before dinner.
Day 2 (3rd December:
There will be some free time in the morning to explore the historic charm of Salisbury. Why not explore the stunning Salisbury Cathedral? Home to the tallest church spire in the UK and one of the best-preserved original copies of the Magna Carta. Around mid-late morning, we will then get the coach to Longleat Safari Park for the festival of light! This magical, festive event takes place each year at Longleat Safari Park, once darkness falls a spectacular lantern trail and illuminated sculptures are revealed, a wonderland just waiting to be explored! Longleat is home to Britain’s biggest singing Christmas tree, at over 15 metres tall. Illuminated with over 88,000 twinkling lights and fitted with four snow-making machines for a magical winter experience. Marvel as it sings your favourite carols for a spectacular display of light, including flurries of snow! A Santa train is also available to book.
Before darkness falls the coach will take us on the winter drive through safari experience, where we will get the chance to see Lions, Tigers, Rhinos and much more. We will also embark on a guided tour of Longleat House. Step back in time with a wonderfully festive guided tour of Longleat House. Beautifully dressed for Christmas, the House will feature traditional decorations and numerous Christmas trees, including a six-metre-tall showstopper in the Great Hall. You also have free time to explore Longleat Safari park at your leisure, where there will be the chance to meet more famous animal residents on foot with the Walking Safari and Boat Safari. Plus, a whole host of attractions to explore including Adventure Castle, Rockin’ Rhino, Longleat’s gardens and the Hedge Maze.
At the end of the day, we will head back to the hotel for a delicious dinner before getting some much needed rest.
Day 3 (4th December):
You will have free time to explore beautiful Salisbury until the coach departs for home at 2pm. If you didn't get a chance to visit on day 2, there will be plenty of time to visit the historic Cathedral. There is also a Christmas market running at this time of year from 11am. Enjoy walking the medieval streets and soaking up the history and heritage, you will find historic buildings all around you, just don’t forget to look up to take in the impressive architecture! Delve further into Salisbury’s past by paying a visit to the Salisbury Museum. Here, you will find a wealth of exhibits showcasing archaeological finds, some important artwork and lots of historical information on the city and surrounding area. The Wessex Gallery in particular has a great deal of artefacts from the Stonehenge World Heritage Site.

- Coach travel in an executive, luxury coach
- 2 nights half board accommodation at the Mecure White Hart Salisbury - 4* Hotel (single, twin and double rooms available, issued on first come first serve basis, please write in the order notes which room you would prefer)
